JUVENILE

The parish football league started last Saturday with Tommy Allen’s team taking on Dylan Walshe’s and David English taking on Conor Brennan. The first match was a very close encounter with Tommy’s team taking a five point lead into the break at half time with some great scores from Tommy, Aaron Condon and the excellent Kenneth Cunningham and David Richards on goal. Thanks to some fine work at midfield from Dylan and Stephen Grogan. Dylan’s team clawed their way back into the match. Alan O Connor was having a fine game at full back and cut out a lot of ball. Dylan’s team prevailed with a two point win in what was a very tough and close affair. The game between Davy English and Conor Brennan was won by Conor’s team. There were some very good displays from John Hickey, Conor Brennan and the teak tough Conor McKenna. Patrick o Donovan, Tiernan McLaughlin and Davy English were very much to the fore. Eoghan Heffernan used his speed to good effect throughout the match. Conor’s team pulled away in the end to win the game.

The league continues next Saturday at 1.30 sharp.

Training for U12’s Wednesday night 7.00 in Duneske football. Registration will also be on Wednesday night. Membership is now due €10 for children.
